MiFID Review: What is Next for European Capital Markets?

Successfully finalised with the publication of its final report in February 2011 (see below), this task force brought together market participants, international experts, academics and regulators during most of 2010. It evaluated policy proposals and advanced a set of recommendations for the review of the Markets in Financial Instruments Directive (MiFID). Analyses and recommendations were included in the final report which was presented in Brussels and London where it was met with great interest. Regulators were actively involved in the meetings in order to fine tune the work of the task force with their own one.
