2024 ECMI Annual Conference Report - Europe’s capital markets in transition: Driving competitiveness through innovation and sustainability
The 2024 ECMI Annual Conference gathered policymakers, industry participants an academics for a full-day discussion on the future of capital markets. It started with a keynote speech on success of capital markets in the Nordic region and the lessons that can be learned from Sweden's approach, and included sessions on the establishment of a '28th regime' under ESMA, the tokenisation of financial assets, and corporate sustainability reporting. The 2024 ECMI best paper "Dangerous Liaisons? Debt Supply and Convenience Yield Spillovers in the Euro Area" was also presented.
